I'm Lisa, founder of The Bright Bittern, providing practical, considered support to small businesses and professionals.  ​

 

Over time, I’ve seen how often talented, capable people struggle not because they lack skill or effort, but because systems are unclear and too much is being carried alone.  My work focuses on creating structure through reliable support, defined systems and thoughtful communication, so that businesses can function well and professionals can be elevated in sustainable ways.

 

I bring over 25 years of experience across administration, operations, finance, governance and people management, and have supported high-growth SMEs, professional practices, C-level professionals, and high-net-worth individuals, working with organisations ranging from owner-managed businesses to central government and London-based corporates.  I have also supported property portfolio ownership and management, including commercial, residential and holiday let properties.

​I have often held hybrid roles incorporating administration, operations, finance and HR.  I have been AAT qualified for nearly 20 years and trained while working in a London-based firm of Chartered Accountants.  Alongside this professional background, I have formal training in counselling and am currently studying a BSc Psychology.  This informs how I work, particularly around decision-making, workload and sustainability, without losing sight of real-world business demands.
